- Instructions:
1. Measure the dimensions of your watches to determine the size of the case you need.
2. Cut six pieces of wood to the dimensions of your desired case size. You will need one top and bottom piece, two side pieces, and two end pieces.
3. To create a recessed lid, cut a groove into the top pieces that will be a snug fit with the bottom piece. Use a saw to remove the center section of the top piece and then use sandpaper to smooth out any rough spots.
4. Once all six pieces have been cut, sand them down to smooth any rough edges or surfaces.
5. Apply wood glue to the edges of the pieces and press them together to form the case. Use clamps to hold the pieces in place until the glue dries completely.
6. Sand down the case again to smooth any rough spots left by the clamps or glue.
7. Apply wood stain or paint to the case. Allow it to dry completely. If you want extra protection for your case, apply a clear coating to seal in the color and protect the wood.
8. Once the case has dried, you can attach hinges and a latch to keep the lid securely closed.
